about Matt Donovan.
Hey, I’m Matt! I’m a landscape and travel photographer from Sydney, Australia.
I’d love to say I’ve been taking photos since I was knee high to a grasshopper, but that’s not the case. I’ve spent my whole life loving art and all things creative, which inevitably led me to study graphic design in 2009-10. During that time I took an extremely basic photography class. It was then that I picked up my first DSLR not having a clue how to use it. Years passed and I decided it was time to dedicate all my free time to learning the ever growing art of photography. I’ve never looked back!
2013 marks the year that I started taking things more seriously. I wanted my landscape photography, above all else, to grow on a much higher level. That’s when I started itsworthashot.com. I wanted to share my experiences with the world, whether it be educational or hopefully to some; inspirational.
Q. What gear do you shoot with?
A. Over the years I’ve shot with a bit of everything. - Canon, Sony, Olympus etc. They’re all great cameras, but the Sony A7R series stands out to me as the most suited to travel and landscape photography.
Q. How do you edit your images?
A. This is not as simple as a few sentences. To put it plainly, I use Lightroom for very minor adjustments, then move over to Photoshop for the heavy lifting.
